Q. What is the difference between USB 1.1 and USB 2.0:
A. The main difference between 2.0 and the previous standard of 1.1 is that the 2.0 USB flash drives are faster. USB 2.0 averages a data rate of 480 Mbps (megabits per second) while USB 1.1 only hits 12 Mbps, which make 2.0 about 40 times faster. All new flash drives should be USB 2.0.

Q. What is the difference between USB 2.0 and SuperSpeed USB 3.0:
A. Again, as the world of technology changes, so do the standards for peripheral devices.  Faster is better, and in this case, USB 3.0 runs circles around its predecessor USB 2.0.  USB 2.0 averages a data rate of 480 Mbps (megabits per second) while Super Speed USB 3.0 can see speeds up to 5Gbps (Gigabits per second), which makes USB 3.0 about 10 times faster.
